Disclaimer: Really, I don't own this. I don't, I swear.
A/N: I have no idea where this story is going. I just am typing something pirate-y because I am suffering from withdrawles.
Every Now And Then
Once in a while something happens. Something you will always remember, yet something you long to forget. Something that will stick with you for the rest of your life and haunt you. Something that will come up and bite you in the ass the minute you seem like all is right. Even when everyone else seems to have forgotten it, you will remember it. This was one of those things.
Elizabeth didn't think about the consquenses when she did it. She thought about nothing other then saving herself. She thought quickly. She had to manage to keep Jack on the boat. She quickly looked around. There it was. A chain, hand cuffs. Used as punishment to crew members. She had never seen Jack use it. The question still remained, how was she going to get Jack close enough to the mast to lock him in. She couldn't think of anything. She looked at Will, climbing aboard the ship, then she thought of it. What was the one thing Jack wanted, her to convince him. She couldn't claim to be an expert at the inner workings of Jack Sparrow, but she knew what he meant. She did what she had to do. She walked over to him. She said a few words, then she pushed her lips against his. Forcing him backwards. She could feel the shock in Jack at first, but then he loosened up. He tried to tounge, oh how he tried, but she didn't let him. It might keep him occupied so not to relieze what she was doing. She reached down and felt around for the iron clamps, and then pulled away from him. She clasped them shut. She said she wasn't sorry, and she wasn't then. She didn't relieze what fierce consiquenses that this would cause in the future. He called her a pirate. She hated it. Pirates had come to disgrace her over the past few weeks. What was it that he father had said, "Piracy can be the right course occasionally, but that did not make a man a pirate." That was what he had told Will. He allowed him to keep his job, because he had done the right thing, even though it meant doing some pirate-y things. That was exactly what she had done. She was not a pirate, at least she thought.
They did not let this go. She thought that if she explained herself that everyone would understand, that everything would be alright. Will hated her. He didn't believe her when she said this was the first kiss she ever gave Jack. Will felt betryed and disgraced. He had loved Elizabeth, but now, he was not sure he could ever trust her.
Gibbs, Jack's best friend. Gibbs trusted Elizabeth. Gibbs rarely thought of women in non-sexual ways, but yet he had with Elizabeth. He thought she was an honest women. One that would never let one down. He was disgusted by what Elizabeth had done. He was not sure if he could ever look at her the same way.
Jack, most importantly, was mad. He really thought that that kiss meant something, that it was not just a ploy to trap him on the boat. After the rescued him, and he reliezed that she thought nothing more of their kiss, was mad. He left Elizabeth alone on an island, or as Barbossa would call it, his island. He left her there with no regreats.
Yes, every now and then one will do something that will haunt them forever. Something that can not be taken back or be made right.
Not for any shippers. That was definatly not what I expected to come out of me, but oh well. I like it actually.
